Who Is Jesus?

Many say that Jesus was a good teacher and a moral man. But Jesus said that he was God (John 8:58; cf Exodus 3:14). So based upon the eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ life, there are only two options: either Jesus was God, as He said He was; or Jesus was a terribly misguided and compulsive liar. Whatever one’s view of Jesus, it is untenable to hold the middle ground that Jesus was only a good and moral teacher. If Jesus were a liar, then anything He taught should be rejected. But if Jesus is God, then everything He taught must be accepted.

The second reality we must acknowledge is this: Jesus as God willingly suffered on the cross to pay for the sin debt of each person; he was buried in a tomb for three days; but God raised Him from the dead to prove that what Jesus did on the cross was satisfactory to Him and should be accepted by each person.

Is there any way we can know if Jesus was telling the truth about being God?

There is. But first, why would it even matter if Jesus died?
