At First Baptist Church of Milford our mission is to develop fully-committed followers of Jesus. We believe in teaching our young people what it means to truly live out the Word of God in their lives and have a genuine relationship with the God who created them.
FBCM Teens exists to fulfill this purpose for students in 7th - 12th grade. We meet twice a week and have regular activities all designed for the purpose of teaching our teenagers how to worship God, grow together, serve Him, and go with His truth into their communities and world.
Teen Bible Study
FBCM Teens meets on Sundays at 9 AM for a small group Bible study time. These small groups are typically broken up by grade and gender and taught by our FBCM Teens Adult Leadership Team.
Midweek Youth Group Service
FBCM Teens meets on Thursdays at 7 PM for our “main teen service” of the week. At this service we worship the Lord in singing, spend time building community with each other, and have a corporate preaching service from the Word of God.
Events and Activities
Regularly throughout the year, FBCM Teens will have events and activities. From a Sunday evening after-church event to a week-long summer trip, these activities are a great time for us to build relationships and strengthen our community with one another and with God. These events are announced and scheduled on our Connect FBCM Teens calendar, and details are given out weekly in youth group, announced on social media, and sent in regular FBCM Teen Parent emails.
Parent Meetings
We recognize that youth ministry is family ministry, and each quarter we have an FBCM Teen Parents meeting. The purpose of these meetings is to communicate the ways that God is working in our youth group, what passages and topics we’re studying, the events and activities coming up, as well as some helps for parents as they navigate raising a teenager.
