As we consider this week's events (the Lord's denial, betrayal, and crucifixion) in light of Palm Sunday, it all culminates on Sunday morning with the precious announcement of Matthew 28:6, "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." This verse can be broken up into three easy sections or thoughts:

1. "He is not here: for he is risen, ..." The present condition of the tomb. A borrowed one at that, only to be slightly used and returned cleared and emptied. God always leaves His mark on the life of whom He enters. A life is always better once He has occupied and resided. Upon His arrival, He promises us His presence and that He will "... never leave thee, nor forsake thee." (Hebrews 13:5). And He does not.

2. "... as he said. ..." God always does, and will do, what He has promised to do. It should not have surprised them that the tomb was empty; He told them this was going to happen. What has God promised you today that you are waiting for Him to fulfill? Please know that He always does what He says He is going to do! His prophesy and His promises are as secure as the tomb is empty.

3. "... Come, see ..." John 1:39 was somewhat His first invitation, inviting them to see where He dwelt: "He saith unto them, Come and see. ..." In Matthew 28:6, He invited them to see where He had been for three days and that the tomb was empty. The invitation of the Lord is to come and see. When you do, you will find Him faithful, true, just, and holy. He is not only our Saviour, but our supplier, security, and our all in all. He is sufficient for whatever you are dealing with in your life today. Stop and ponder what the cross, the grave, and the resurrection mean to you. What is life in Christ? What would life be without Him? Now find someone today and personally invite them to meet Him at our Easter presentation, Once Bound, Now Free, this Friday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. or Sunday, April 1 at 6:00 p.m. Just say to them, "Come and see."

Have a blessed day in our Saviour.
