For nearly 20 years, William R. Duttry has been the pastor of the First Baptist Church in Milford, Ohio. Born in Clearfield, Pennsylvania and raised in the nearby town of Curwensville, Pastor Duttry came to know the Lord at the age of nine while at Camp Kanesatake. When he was 17 and attending a Bible conference, he surrendered to preach the Gospel. The Lord led him to attend Midwestern Baptist College where he later met his wife, Pam. In May of 1981, he graduated and fulfilled the call of God on his life to pastor. He was Associate Pastor and Youth Pastor with Cliff French in Greenwell Springs, Louisiana. In 1985, the Lord led him to Hinesville, Georgia where he started the Grace Baptist Church with twelve military personnel and 4 civilians. That church-plant took place in a Holiday Inn and was a landmark occasion in Pastor Duttry’s experience. His love for ministry grew, as well as a desire to train others to serve the Lord.
After 13 years in Hinesville, in 1998, the First Baptist Church of Milford, Ohio, extended the call to Pastor Duttry. For 14 months, he was Executive Pastor with Dr. Charles Keen until October of 1999, in which he stepped in as Senior Pastor.
The hand of the Lord has worked mightily and His blessings are apparent upon His work - the Church. In addition to the ministries of Bearing Precious Seed, Milford Christian Academy, Master Ministries, and Biblical School of World Evangelism, the ministry will soon expand to include the College of Biblical Applied Linguistics. This future endeavor will extend the reach of the First Baptist Church into the realm of the Unreached and promoting God’s glory through His translated Word.
Pastor Duttry, his wife Pam, along with their three children, Heather (Kyle) Melton, Laura (Chad) Braley and Will (Kendra) Duttry in addition to their seven grandchildren, are appreciative and mindful of the many co-laborers who have journeyed alongside them in service and worship of the Lord Jesus Christ.
